Block
A piece of code that the computer runs when clicked.
Hat blocks
Blocks that tell you when a piece of code should be run and what (if any) inputs it takes.
Inputs
In Snap!, data values passed into a block or program.
Outputs
In Snap!, results or visual responses generated by a block or program.
Abstraction
An important computer science concept involving turning a useful piece of code into its own block or breaking up a large problem into smaller sub-problems.
Variables
Block inputs whose values vary based on what is typed into the input slots of a block.
