What is a Cylinder?
A solid figure with two congruent circular or elliptical bases connected to a curved side.
How do you calculate the volume of a cylinder?
Volume = Area of base x Height of the cylinder (V = bh), where Area of base = π x radius squared.
What is a Cone?
A solid object with a circular base and one vertex.
How is the volume of a cone related to that of a cylinder?
Volume of cone = ⅓(volume of cylinder) or Volume of cone = ⅓Bh.
What is the formula for the volume of a sphere?
V = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3.
What is the definition of Diameter?
A chord that passes through the center of a circle.
What is the Radius?
A segment that extends from the center of a circle to any point on the circle.
What does 'substitute' mean in mathematics?
To plug in a value into an equation or expression.
What is the definition of Volume?
The space that fills the inside of a figure, measuring how much it can hold.
What is the significance of π in volume calculations?
π (pi) is a mathematical constant used in formulas for the area of circles and volumes of cylinders and spheres.
