The results of the war of independence is the U.S. is officially free, Spain regains Florida territory, and the U.S. gets land all the way to the Mississippi River. The most significant one is Spain regaining Florida because now they have a major trading partner with the U.S.

Who do you believe is the most responsible for America's independence? Provide details to support your reasoning.

I think George Washington is most responsible for America's independence because when they needed a victory they got one when he led his soldiers across the Delaware River during a storm when it was cold and captured British soldiers and a British division. After a long fight Washington encouraged his soldiers to not give up and they eventually gained freedom. Some people could argue the British were the most responsible because they were the reason the colonists wanted to have a war but George Washington came into the American army and led them to a victory.
