The constant proportional change in a geometric sequence.

Linear Function

A function that graphs to a straight line, with a constant rate of change.

Exponential Function

A function defined by an equation where the variable is an exponent.

Growth Rate

In the context of sequences, the constant rate of increase, specifically used in exponential functions.

Decay Rate

The constant rate of decrease, particularly in inverse exponential functions.

Inverse Function

A function that 'undoes' the action of another function, switching the input and output.
