Ignition point
The lowest temperature a material must reach to start catching fire and continue burning spontaneously.
Flammability
A property expressing how easily and quickly a material ignites at the surrounding temperature.
Relationship between ignition point and flammability
As the ignition point of a substance decreases, its flammability increases, causing it to burn faster.
Safety precautions when handling flame
Measures including wearing safety goggles and heat-resistant gloves, working on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from all flammable materials, and ensuring a fire extinguisher is available for emergencies.
Flammable substances
Materials (such as gasoline and alcohol) classified as flammable materials, which have warning signs placed on their containers to indicate their hazard.
Warning signs on flammable containers
Signs placed on containers of flammable materials to indicate their hazard.
Truck tank flammable warning sign
A warning sign indicating that the truck tank contains flammable materials.
