Lumbar Puncture (LP)

Also known as a spinal tap; a test (along with MRI) used to check for central nervous system (CNS) involvement rather than to diagnose non-Hodgkin's lymphoma itself.

CNS Involvement

Central nervous system involvement, which is hard to treat due to its random spread and is checked using an MRI or lumbar puncture (LP).

GI Involvement

Gastrointestinal involvement evaluated through a detailed check of the abdomen to understand what is occurring in the belly and determine proper treatment.

B Symptom Designation

A designation used in lymphoma staging to indicate that the patient is presenting with symptoms.
