What are some examples of cardiac muscle tissues?
Forms at walls of the heart, and the regular but involuntary contractions of cardiac muscle produce the heartbeat
Structure: Branching, interconnected cylinders with faint striations
Locations: Wall of heart
Function: Contraction of heart
What is the epithelial tissue?
Forms sheets that cover the body and many of its parts. It also lines various parts of the body and forms ducts or tubes,
An example of muscle tissues
Muscle cells are the movement of specialists of the body.
EX:
Skeletal Muscle Tissue
Cardiac Muscle Tissue
Smooth Muscle Tissue
Nervous Tissue
Nerve tissue
Controls body functions and the coordinates rapid communication between body structures. Consisting of two kinds of cells which are neurons (impulse conducting units of the system), and glia (special connecting and supporting cells).
Types of Connective tissues
Fibrous: Loose fibrous and adipose (white and brown)
Reticular
Dense fibrous: Regular, irregular
Bone: Compact and cancellous
Cartilage: Hyaline, fibrocartilage, elastic
Blood (matrix fluid)
Hematopoietic tissue
Skeletal tissue
Sometimes called the straited voluntary muslce. Characterized by many cross-stripes called stratation.
Structure: They are long, threadlike cells with multiple nuclei and striations.
Locations: Muscles attached to bones, Eyeball muscles, Upper third of esophagus
Function: Maintenance of posture, Movement of bones, Produces body heat, Eye movements, Involved in first part of swallowing
