Terminal velocity - 1
Sky diver jumps out plane - weight is greater than air resistance so they will accelerate downwards
Terminal velocity - 2
The acceleration causes the air resistance to get bigger - only the weight is bigger than the air resistance
Terminal velocity - 3
As the skydiver goes further downwards the weight and air resistance become equal - terminal velocity
Terminal velocity - 4
When the terminal velocity is met the parachute is pulled - the air resistance becomes greater than gravity - the sky diver will decelerate
Terminal velocity - 5
After the parachute is open for a while the air resistance and gravity become equal so terminal velocity occurs
Terminal velocity - 6
The gravity pulls the skydiver down and an upward force is put on them - causing them to land, decelerate and stop
