What do you think Montresor’s motivation is for killing Fortunato? What do you think Montresor means in the first paragraph of the story by “the thousand injuries” and “insult”
His motivation was how he possibly was treated by Fortunato and how he was (possibly) wronged in the past. What they mean in the first paragraph means all the times he was offeneded with the insult being the breaking point.
How does Poe motivate the behavior of Montresor? Does the story provide hints to the thousand injuries?
Poe motivates his behaviour by showing his obsession with revenge. There isnt any hints just name calling that doesnt fully apply.
Why is the setting of “The cask of Amontillado” apppropiate
theres a strong contrast between a happy carnival and celebration to the dark catacombs
Discuss Montresor’s coat of arms and motto
coat of arms shows a snake bitting a foot that its being crushed by; motto could mean that no one can wrong them and get away with it. This represents his family’s pride and desire for revenge
Discuss the ending of the cask of amontillado
Montresor might have some guilt after killing Fortunato and shows irony by saying “may he rest in peace” after killing him and the described murder

to show the efforts that Barry took to support and spend time with his daughter.
Setting of Saturday Climbing provides an extended metaphor for the father-daughter relationship between Barry and Moira. Explain
The rock climbing during the story compares the relationship between Barry and Moira like difficult climbing with risks applied.
In Harrison Bergeron what is the significance of the dance Harrison performs with the ballerina? How does the style the in which the story is written change in this passage?
The significance is to show the ballerina and Harrison breaking free from the government’s restrictions and expressing their true abilities and individuality. The writing becomes more dramatic rather than the usual narration

Mitty does something and the actual setting are significantly different with how Mitty travels the world in the movie and Mitty staying in the same place in the story
