The Bohr Model Limitations
Only works for one electron systems.
Does not take into account the physics between the electrons interacting with each other (no electrodynamics involved).
Bohr Model Guidelines
Electrons exist in only non-radiating states
Orbital angular momentum is quantized
Radiation is emitted or absorbed only during transition between states
Electron radiation
Electrons moving between energy levels will produce waves like light waves or x-ray.
Orbital angular momentum
the l value of primary quantum numbers. tells the shape of orbital that the electron is in (the electron movement around the nucleus), in other words how the electron is circling the nucleus of the atom.
pure substance
form of matter with a constant, uniform composition and distinct chemical properties
chemical compound
pure substance made of two or more different chemical elements combined in a fixed ration
