how did Trump expand the Monroe Doctrine in venezuela

Monroe doctrine:

eu. shouldn’t interfere US affairs / no EU influence in the West emisphere

Roosevelt Corollary added the right to preserve order => from defence to justification of US attacks in Latin America

Trump: 3rd january => maduro and attack in venezuela, doctrine used to justify expansion

(Right to preserve order as maduro was narco trafficing/ terrorism/ immigrandts/ corrupted / criminal)

Result:

less influence of China / russia in Venezuela (close relationship as it was a supplier of petrol) => less influence of Rusiia / and china in addition to Europe in West Emisphere, as they were seen as threat

US influence on the venezuelan government=> US that influence other coutries and get advantages on oil ( resources)
