Example inside a control cabinet is usually a 24VDC (the industrial standard) power supply, that is shared between sensors, PLC, Relays, sensors, barcode scanners, etc. Safer than high voltage AC, reliable, easy to distribute. Common specs are 9-36VDC, 12-24VDC, You can use an adapter to convert AC power to DC power as well.
