A muscle surrounding the mouth that enables you to pucker your lips.

Zygomaticus Major

A muscle that elevates the corners of the mouth, contributing to smiling.

Masseter

A major muscle of mastication (chewing) that elevates the mandible.

Sternocleidomastoid

A muscle in the neck that allows for rotation and flexion of the head.

Temporoparietalis

A muscle located above the ear that helps to move the scalp.

Occipitalis

A muscle at the back of the head that helps to move the scalp backward.

Buccinator

A muscle of the cheek that compresses the cheeks against the teeth.

Depressor Anguli Oris

A muscle that pulls down the corners of the mouth, contributing to frowning.

Levator Labii Superioris

A muscle that elevates the upper lip.

Zygomaticus Minor

A muscle that assists in smiling by pulling the upper lip upward.

Levator Nasi Superior

A muscle that elevates the upper lip and dilates the nostrils.

Risorius

A muscle that draws the corner of the mouth laterally.

Masseter

The prime mover of jaw elevation during chewing.

Nasalis

A muscle that compresses the nasal cartilage and flares the nostrils.
