Healthy Relationships (Cross-Generational and Cultural)
Relationships across generations and cultural groups that help individuals communicate effectively, show empathy, recognize their unique role in the community, and appreciate differences in age, background, and tradition.
Intergenerational Relationships
Bonds involving individuals from different age groups, such as children and parents or students and teachers, grounded in traditions of care and deep respect in the Filipino setting.
Elders
Individuals in intergenerational relationships who serve as storytellers, mentors, and sources of family history.
Youth
Individuals in intergenerational relationships who contribute modern knowledge, technological skills, and new ideas.
Mano Po
A traditional Filipino gesture performed as a sign of respect and receiving a blessing.

Active Listening

Intergroup Relationships

A negative outcome resulting from a lack of respect in intergroup relationships where certain individuals or groups are left out.
Communication Clashes
Misunderstandings or conflicts that occur between groups when intergroup relationships lack respect.
Social Identity Theory
A theory explaining how people categorize themselves based on group identity (age, religion, culture), carrying the risk of treating those outside the group as less important.
Pakikipagkapwa
