Toner Probe
A tool used to identify where a network cable starts or ends by emitting a sound that can be detected with a probe.
Access Point (AP)
A device that allows wireless or mobile devices to connect to a network, typically connected to the main network via a cabled connection.
Mesh Network
A network made up of multiple access points working together to cover large areas with Wi-Fi.
Small WLAN
A small wireless local area network that spreads an internet connection over a limited area, often centered around a Wi-Fi router.
Modulation
The process of changing one or more properties of a wave (amplitude, frequency, or phase) to encode data into a signal.
Radio Waves
Electromagnetic waves that can carry data for various communication methods, including Wi-Fi and broadcast television.
