1/9
Vocabulary flashcards covering electrical circuit concepts, components, circuit configurations, and energy transformations from Unit 4 Part 2.
Battery
a device that produces an electric current due to the changes to the materials inside it
Circuit
a complete path around which electric current can flow

Series Circuit
an electrical circuit where components are connected end-to-end in a single path

Parallel Circuit
an electrical circuit with multiple paths for current to flow, allowing components to operate independently

Electric Current
the flow of electricity through a conductor
Output Device
a component added to a circuit for energy transformations, such as a lightbulb, motor, or bell
Closed Circuit
when the switch in a circuit is closed creating a closed path for electrical current to flow
Open Circuit
when the switch in a circuit is open stopping electrical current from flowing
Switch
a device that opens or closes a circuit
Energy Transformation
the process of changing one form of energy into another
