Business Tool
Any asset that helps or assists the organization to achieve its stated aims or objectives.
Business Management Tool
All systems used by an organization to be able to cope up with changing markets.
Portable and Attractive Tool
An item that is portable, probably does not have a fixed location, and is a target for theft or excessive use.
Significant Small Tools
Functional, portable equipment requiring technical operation and training.
Functional Perspective
A classification system where tools are classified according to their specific functions.
Process Perspective
A classification system where tools are classified according to the process activities that they support.
Integration Perspective
A classification system where tools are classified according to how they are organized into integrated units that provide support for one or more process activities.
Customer Preference Tool
A survey platform used to collect, store, and manage what customers like, want, or expect regarding products.
Efficiency of Tool
Refers to how many current virtual users a tool can produce on a single test operating system for a test.
Serial Number
A number attached globally by the manufacturer that is unique to the item, but usually requires context to extract meaningful asset details.
Barcodes
Encoded asset numbers scanned to eliminate data entry errors.
Radio Frequency Identification Tags (RFID)
Electronic tags that allow groups of items to be scanned simultaneously at a distance and help track exact physical locations.
Wiki
Derived from the Hawaiian word for fast; fast internal sites used to share public business information, forms, and manuals with controlled access/passwords, allowing users to update the site with little restriction on access.
Metadata
Data about data, such as last update timestamps, used to protect, update, and track information to prevent costly business errors.
The Business Register
An organized record or database used to track and monitor the equipment, assets, and consumables owned by an organization.
Consumables
Items or resources that are consumed in the normal usage of a tool.
Business Technology
Research, data, engineering, and information technologies for business purposes, or any electronic object or system that helps employees accomplish tasks.
Internet Surveillance
Involves employers tracking, recording, and analyzing employees' online activities on company networks and devices.
URIs (Uniform Resource Identifiers)
The broad, general category for any character string that identifies a resource.
URL (Uniform Resource Locator)
A specific type of URI that identifies a resource and gives the exact web address or way to access it.
Stockouts
Running out of inventory resources.
Dead Stock
Obsolete inventory items.
Revenues
Income derived from sales, services, dividends, and interest.
Equity
The net worth of the company, calculated as assets minus liabilities.
Full Block Style
A letter style where every part (sender's address, date, inside address, salutations, body, enclosures) is aligned against the left-hand margin.
Modified Block Style
A letter style where the sender's address and date are aligned to the right margin, recipient's address, salutation, and body paragraphs are aligned to the left margin, and the complimentary close and signature are centered.
Semi Block Style
A letter style having the same layout as the Modified Block Style, except the first line of each paragraph is indented from the left margin.
Memorandum (Memo)
A brief internal message or report between individuals or departments within the same company or organization containing directives, advice, or information.
Rule of 7C’s
A set of correspondence guidelines stating that messages must be Clear, Concise, Complete, Correct, Courteous, Clean, and Checked.
Balance Sheet
A financial snapshot at a specific point in time (usually fiscal year-end) listing assets, liabilities, and equity to review financial health against business plan objectives.
USP (Unique Selling Proposition)
What makes a company, product, or service unique from competitors; guides marketers on why customers should choose them.
Nettiquette
Internet etiquette and guidelines establishing that digital communication follows the same professional standards as face-to-face conversations.
SoLoMo
The fusion of Social, Local, and Mobile technologies used in modern tourism and business marketing to push targeted alerts and promotions to potential consumers who are physically close by.
Ethics
A system of moral principles (from the Greek word ethos meaning custom, character, or disposition) concerning what is good for individuals and society.

The Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998, which regulates the issuance and use of access devices and prohibits fraudulent acts committed relative thereto.
Republic Act No. 8792
The Electronic Commerce Act of 2000, providing for the recognition and use of electronic commercial and non-commercial transactions and documents.

The Data Privacy Act of 2012, protecting individual personal information in information and communications systems and creating the National Privacy Commission.

Refers to everything a business uses computers for to build communication networks, safeguard data, maintain databases, troubleshoot device issues, and ensure system reliability.
E-Business
A broad term encompassing all forms of using digital information and communication technologies to support and optimize overall business processes.
E-Commerce
A subsection of e-business that specifically describes the online trading, buying, and selling of goods and services.
Value of Structuring
An electronic business function where an online offer achieves an overview of a large amount of information.
Peer-to-Peer Systems
Applications like Airbnb that directly connect travelers seeking temporary rental space with homeowners and others, bypassing traditional services such as hotels.
