Zeus involvement in the war
-Thetis Beseeches Zeus to help Achilles in book 1- Zeus agrees, thus the whole “plan” of the Iliad (basis of it is Zeus trying to get honor for Achilles) -Apollo is not happy at the beginning of the Iliad and is killing people in Greece because Agamemnon stole Chryseis -Agamemnon is not willing to give her back for nothing and also decided to take Achilles prize, Briseis, and give Chryseis back -Athena shows up and allows only Achilles to see her “Don’t kill him, use your words Achilles” -So he just starts to berate him -Since Achilles says he can’t get his honor back he says see you all later and you deal with Troy on your own
