Scott's Law

A law passed in $2002$ requiring motorists approaching a stationary emergency vehicle or stopped vehicle with emergency signals activated to slow down, yield, change lanes if possible, and proceed with caution.

Zipper Merge

A traffic procedure used during congestion where drivers use both lanes up to the lane reduction point and alternate turns merging into the open lane like a zipper.

Temporary Visitor Driver's License (TVDL)

A driver's license option for individuals who sign a declaration on the application stating they are ineligible to obtain a Social Security number.
