Axon Terminal; releases neurotransmitters to communicate w another cell

Dendrites; receive signals; carry them to the cell body

Cell Body; holds nucleus and controls neurons activities

Node of Ranvier; gaps in the myelin sheath- nerve impulses regenerated; faster conduction

Neurolemma; helps repair and regenerate damaged peripheral axons

Schwann Cell; produces myelin sheath around peripheral nerve axons

Myelin Sheath; insulates axon, speeds up nerve transmission

Axon; carries nerve impulses away from cell body

Synapse; junction where neuron communicates with other neuron, muscle, or gland
