Data Privacy Act of the Philippines (RA 10173)
A law passed in 2012 and implemented in 2016 that assures the free flow of information while protecting user privacy rights by regulating the collection, handling, and disposal of personal information.
Conflict
A state of incompatibility of ideas between two or more parties, or a natural disagreement resulting from differences in attitudes, beliefs, values, or needs.
Resume
A short document used to summarize a job seeker's experience, contact information, work history, education, and relevant qualifications for a prospective employer.
Chronological Format Resume
The most common resume format (also known as reverse-chronological format) that focuses on work experience and detailed achievements in reverse-chronological order.
Application Letter
An official form of communication used for business purposes such as presenting proposals, filing leave, or applying for a job position.
Professionalism
The conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a professional person, operating in a calling requiring specialized knowledge and intensive academic preparation.
Reliability
The quality of being able to be trusted or believed because of consistent good performance and behavior without requiring heavy supervision.
Commitment to Excellence
A work ethic wherein an employee strives to produce the best quality output rather than working merely for minimum compliance.
Hazard
Anything with the potential to cause injury, illness, or damage in the workplace environment.
Physical Hazards
Hazards arising from unhealthy working conditions, poor lighting, poor ventilation, faulty machinery, or improper work practices.
Biological Hazards
Hazards caused by workers infected with transmissible illnesses or unhygienic practices that transmit bacteria, parasites, or viruses.
Ergonomic Hazards
Hazards caused by poor posture or prolonged physical activities like standing, bending, lifting, and carrying that lead to strain and body injury.
Psychological Hazards
Hazards resulting from excessive workplace stress leading to mental or emotional strain, anxiety, depression, and loss of focus.
Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS)
A body of rules promulgated in 1978 under Article 162 of the Labor Code of the Philippines to safeguard workers' physical safety, health, and social well-being.

UK Safety Sign Colours
A standardized color system for safety signs: Red indicates Prohibition (Stop/Do Not), Blue indicates Mandatory (Must Do), Yellow/Black indicates Warning (Risk/Danger), and Green indicates Safe Condition (Emergency/First Aid).
Prohibition Signs (Red)
Red safety signs that convey 'STOP / DO NOT' directives, such as No Entry or No Smoking.
Mandatory Signs (Blue)
Blue safety signs that convey 'MUST DO' directives, such as Wear Ear Protection or Keep Closed.
Warning Signs (Yellow/Black)
Yellow and black safety signs that signal 'RISK / DANGER', such as High Voltage or Slippery Floor.
Safe Condition Signs (Green)
Green safety signs that indicate emergency exits or medical facilities, such as Fire Exit or First Aid Kit.

Japanese 5S Methodology
A Japanese philosophy of good housekeeping consisting of Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workplace.
Seiri (Sort / Tidiness)
The 5S practice of discarding all rubbish and unnecessary materials from the workplace.
Seiton (Set in Order / Orderliness)
The 5S practice of setting everything in its proper location for rapid retrieval and storage.
Seiso (Shine / Cleanliness)
The 5S practice of cleaning the workplace under the mindset that every worker should act as a janitor.
Seiketsu (Standardize / Standardization)
The 5S practice of standardizing processes to continuously maintain cleanliness and order.
Shitsuke (Sustain / Discipline)
The 5S practice of performing 5S daily until it becomes a habit, way of life, and commitment.
