Lesson 9,10,11 (F1,F2,F3)
What is Limit form 1: Main Continuity Theorem (MCT)
If x=a is in the domain of f(x) (i.e. no division by 0, no square root of negative numbers, and no logarithms of negative numbers or 0). Then f is continuous at x=a and the MCT allow us to. Find the limit by substituting a into f(x) that is lim as x-a f(x)=f(a)
What is limit form 2
c/infinity goes towards 0. If we can do some algebra on f(x) and see that f(x)=c/ infinity. Then lim as x goes towards infinity is f(x)=0
Record the three continuity conditions for y= f(x) at x=a
f(a) is defined (a is in the domain of f).
Lim as x-a f(x) exists
The values in 1 and 2 are equal. That is lim as x goes towards a f(x)=f(a)
