  1. Fly the aircraft: The most important single consideration is aircraft control

  2. Alert: P* will announce “IIMC” and immediately make the transition to instrument flight

  3. Attitude: Level the pitch and bank attitude while maintaining aircraft in trim

  4. Torque: Adjust torque as required

  5. Altitude: Adjust to desired altitude after establishing initial aircraft control

  6. Heading: Establish and maintain heading, turn only to avoid known obstacles

  7. Airspeed: Adjust airspeed as necessary

  8. Fly the aircraft: Maintain aircraft control and then use aircraft automation to assist in stabilization as appropriate

  9. Contact ATC as appropriate, and comply with ATC instructions, local regulations, and SOPs

Note: The best course of action is to anticipate and avoid IIMC. Understand enroute decision triggers. Before going IIMC turn around, if in a permissive environment land or commit to IFR.
