Data Presentation
The organization of data into tables, graphs, or charts so logical and statistical conclusions can be derived, or the exhibition of data in an attractive and useful manner for easy interpretation.
Textual Presentation

Stem-and-Leaf Plot

Tabular Presentation
A systematic organization of data in columns and rows using a statistical table.
Table Number
A table component used to easily locate specific data included within a paper or report.
Table Title
A component of a table that clearly informs readers about the data contained, time period of study, place of study, and nature of data classification.
Stubs
The titles of the rows in a table that display information about the data contained in each specific row.
Caption
The title of a column in a data table that indicates the specific information contained in that column.
Body or Field
The content of a table in its entirety, where each individual entry item is known as a 'cell'.
Footnotes
Explanatory text placed below a table to supplement the table title or clarify specific items if required.
Source
An element mentioned below the footnote indicating where data in the table was obtained if taken from a secondary source.
imrad format
Rules stating that text should highlight only major findings without repeating all data, cite tables/figures by number, avoid verbose expressions, use past tense for research methods, and use present tense when referencing tables and figures.
Graphical Presentation
A visual display and geometrical image of a set of data and statistical results that enables a statistical problem to be evaluated visually.
Bar Graph
A chart where data is represented by vertical or horizontal bars of equal width starting from a common line, used to compare different groups or track changes over time.
Pie Chart
A circular graph representing a collective 100% divided into colored sectors to display and compare parts of a whole.
Line Graph
A graph depicting the relationship between quantitative variables to track changes over time or compare trends across multiple groups.
