What is the definition of an experiment in research methods?
A method of testing a hypothesis through manipulating an independent variable and measuring the outcome of the changes (dependent variable)

How do you conduct a Mann-Whitney U Test?
Rank the whole data set
Sum the ranks for each condition
Apply U1 = R1 - (n1 (n1+1))/2 and U2 = R2 - (n2 (n2+1))/2
