Centrosome/centrioles
centrioles are the barrels

Chromatin
stuff inside

Cytoplasm
consists all organelles

Cytosol
the actual fluid in a cell
DNA

Golgi apparatus/body

Lysosomes
contain enzymes taht will kill cell so must be in a vesticle to prevent lysis

Mitochondria

Nuclear membrane

Nucleolus

Nucleus

Organelles
“organs” of the cell
Peroxisomes
smaller than lysosomes, serve a cleaning/detoxifying role

Plasma/cell membrane

Ribosomes
usualy small red dots in model

Rough endoplasmic reticulum
has ribosomes

Smooth endoplasmic reticulum
does not have ribosomes but still makes stuff like fats and other non protien macromolocules

Vesicles
intercellular organells that hold nutience or harmful enzymes etc. in their own membrane

Interphase (definition)
the longest active phase of the cell cycle where a cell grows, performs its normal metabolic functions, and duplicates its DNA to prepare for division.
Mitosis (definition)
a process of cell division where a single parent cell divides to produce two genetically identical daughter cells
Meiosis (definition)
specialized type of cell division that reduces the chromosome number by half, turning one diploid cell into four haploid sex cells (gametes like sperm and egg)
Cytokinesis (definition)
the physical process of cell division where the cytoplasm of a single parental cell divides into two separate daughter cells
Prophase

Metaphase

Anaphase

Telophase
