Protagonist

Exposition

An introduction to the plot that introduces the characters, setting, and basic situation

Narrator

A speaker or character who tells the story

Omniscient third person point of view

The narrator knows and tells about what each character feels and thinks. Uses pronouns such as he, she, him, her and they.

Third person point of view

The narrator uses the character's names and pronouns such as he, she, him, her, they, and them.

First person point of view

A character tells the story using the pronouns I, me, or my.

Limited third person point of view

The narrator relates the inner thoughts and feelings of only one character, and everything is viewed from this character's perspective. Used the pronouns he, she, him, her or they.

Objective third person point of view

The narrator only shares what characters say and do. The narrator does not share what the characters think. Uses pronouns him, her, she, they, or them.

(adj.) - easily frightened; cautious

Resolutely

(adv.)- firmly determined; with resolve

(adv.) - uncertain; not fully worked out

-ish

a suffix that means having the characteristics of or belonging to; makes a word an adjective

Scoffed

(v.) mocked; sneered; showed contempt
