Major Summative

Minor Summative
A grading category worth 40% of the average, including Classwork and Homework.
Formative
A grading category worth 10% of the average, consisting of Kahoot! Reviews and other practices essential to prepare for summative work.
StudySync Blast!
A bellringer activity involving a specific question used to begin class.
Gallery walk
A review process where groups look at others' work to provide feedback on strengths and weaknesses before presentations.
Writing Folders
Specific folders used to keep in-class essay writings, including prewriting, drafts, and final versions to show improvement.
Notes/Formative Assessments Section
The only divider in the 1 1/2‑ binder that students should never clean out.
Cell Phone Policy
High school students must place devices in a classroom storage location, silenced, and not on their person or immediately accessible.
Late Grade Policy
Formal Assessments can be submitted up to ten school days late for a maximum grade of 80 percent of the original score.
Retake Policy
Any assignment may be retaken for a maximum of 70% of the original grade.
