Plankton

Young baby fish obtained from specialized hatcheries used for stocking fish farm ponds.
Primary Sector in Fishing
The sector that includes fishermen directly involved in catching fish from natural water bodies.
Secondary Sector in Fishing
The sector that involves processing activities such as gutting, salting, canning, freezing, and packaging fish.
Tertiary Sector in Fishing
The sector comprising support activities such as loading, unloading, and transporting fish via truck drivers.
Trawling
A net fishing method employing a trawl net dragged through deep water by one or more vessels to target bottom-dwelling fish.
Purse Seining
A net fishing method utilizing a large net to encircle a school of fish and drawing it closed at the bottom to catch fish in the middle or near the surface.
Drift Netting
A net fishing method using a long net set vertically across the path of migrating fish to entangle them.
Overfishing
The practice of catching more fish than can naturally be replaced, such as catching juveniles or fishing during breeding seasons.
