Performance Task
Original Hook: As citizens fall into the burdens of everyday evil, they model their response after superheroes, whose ability to step into physical danger shielding those vulnerable, makes them the embodiment of true altruism. However, a key aspect of superheroes' altruism is their ability to tolerate the mental burdens of others, safeguarding public welfare.
Problems:
Overcrowded - focused on too many things(central focus lost)
Abstract - Sounded too poetic, didn capture what needed to be said. Heroes are vessels for people’s pain, bearing the burden’s so people can overcome them.
Fix:
The Core Definition of Altruism: Emphasize that heroism is defined by absorbing suffering so regular people do not have to.
Heroes are instruments to be used, they don’t tolerate.
Rewritten Hook
True altruism requires more than defeating external oppression. True altruism is defined by a hero’s willingness to act as a vessel for the vulnerable, absorbing their burdens until their mental trauma has alleviated, allowing for healing.

(How & Why) Clarify how he uses mental fortitude to be successful: He accepts the psychological toll, so the hostages spirit’s aren’t broken
(Connection) By staying calm and allowing the mental anguish to fall on him, he stops the victims suffering.
