Anbiya 21:22
Had there been gods besides Allah in heavens and earth, both would be ruined.


Baqarah 2:163
Your god is one God; none worthy of worship except the Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Meaning: Allah is alone in self, names, attributes and actions, so worship is for Him only.


Baqarah 2:164
Signs in heavens, earth, night and day, ships, rain, creatures, winds and clouds.
Meaning: Seven signs of creation point to one Creator, for people who use reason.


Yunus 10:18
They worship besides Allah what neither harms nor benefits them, calling them intercessors.
Meaning: Idols as 'middlemen' are still shirk; they cannot help or harm.


Isra 17:70
Allah honoured Adam's children, carried them on land and sea, provided good things, preferred them over many.
Meaning: Human dignity is real but limited ('many', not all), so no arrogance.


Dhariyat 51:56
I created jinn and mankind only to worship Me.
Meaning: Life has a purpose (worship), a choice (obey or not) and accountability.


Hashr 59:7
Take what the Messenger gives you, abstain from what he forbids, and fear Allah.
Meaning: His command is like Allah's; rejecting Sunnah is rejecting the Quran. Context: Fay'.


Al Imran 3:79
No prophet given the Book says 'worship me'; he says 'be Rabbani'.
Meaning: Prophets only call to Allah; a Rabbani teaches and acts on knowledge.


Maidah 5:3
Today I perfected your religion, completed My favour, approved Islam.
Meaning: Shariah is complete, so any addition is Bid'ah. Revealed on a Friday at Arafat.


Bukhari 45or 38
A Jew told Umar the verse would have been a day of celebration; Umar said it came on Friday at Arafat.
Meaning: Shows the verse's time and place: the Day of Hajj.


Baqarah 2:48
Fear a Day when no soul suffices for another, no intercession, compensation or aid.
Meaning: No substitute, recommendation, bribe or pressure works in Allah's court.


Hajj 22:5
If in doubt about resurrection: created from dust, drop, clot, flesh; barren earth revived by rain.
Meaning: The One who creates in stages and revives dead land can raise the dead.


Bukhari 3208
40 days each as drop, clot, flesh; then an angel writes deeds, livelihood, death, blessed or wretched.
Meaning: Life is recorded by Allah's knowledge; stresses accountability for deeds.


Muslim 34 (Al-Abbas)
He tastes the sweetness of faith who is content with Allah as Lord, Islam as religion, Muhammad as messenger.
Meaning: Real faith means delight in obedience, preferring faith to worldly aims, and patience in hardship.


Mu'minun 23:1-11
Believers succeed: humble in prayer, avoid laghw, give zakat, guard chastity, keep trusts, guard prayers; they inherit Firdaus.
Meaning: Success has six attributes; faith comes first, and worship and character go together.

Bukhari 6474 (Sahl bin Sa'd)
Whoever guarantees what is between his jaws and his legs, I guarantee Paradise.
Meaning: Guard the tongue and private parts (chastity).


Musnad Ahmad 12383 (Anas)
No faith for one who cannot be trusted; no religion for one who does not keep his promise.
Meaning: Trust (Amanat) and promises are part of faith.


Bukhari 8, Muslim 16 (Ibn Umar)
Islam is built on five: shahada, salah, zakat, Hajj, fasting Ramadan.
Meaning: The five pillars are the foundation of Islam.


Tawba 9:60
Sadaqat are for the poor, needy, administrators, hearts inclined, slaves, debtors, in Allah's way, wayfarers.
Meaning: Eight fixed categories of zakat recipients, exclusively.


Tirmidhi 1660 (Abu Sa'id)
Most virtuous: a man striving in Allah's cause; then a believer in a mountain path who fears Allah and spares people his evil.
Meaning: Jihad is a key sacrifice; isolation in trial can be good, yet many prophets engaged people for good.


Anfal 8:60
Prepare all the power you can, and trained horses, to deter enemies; spending in Allah's way is repaid.
Meaning: Defence preparation (modern equivalents) needs resources, including money.


Muslim (call to guidance): Whoever calls to guidance gets reward like those who follow him.
Meaning: Calling to good is the Prophets' mission and earns lasting reward.

Nisa 4:160: Because of the wrongdoing of those who became Jews, good things were forbidden to them, and for taking riba.
Meaning: Neglecting forbidding evil lets corruption spread; riba is forbidden.


Al Imran 3:110: You are the best nation: enjoin right, forbid wrong, believe in Allah.
Meaning: Excellence of the Ummah depends on this duty (Umar's comment)

Nahl 16:125: Invite with wisdom and beautiful preaching, and argue in the best way.
Meaning: Three methods of da'wah, matched to people's level.
'Say: This is my path' (no ref on slide): I call to Allah upon clear knowledge.
Meaning: The caller needs Ilm.

Musnad Ahmad (two prayers): A man accepted Islam on condition of only two daily prayers; the Prophet accepted.
Meaning: Sabr: start with faith, and duties follow.

Abu Dawood (Thaqeef): Thaqeef asked exemption from zakat and jihad; the Prophet accepted: once faith enters, they will do them.
Meaning: Patience in da'wah.

Tirmidhi (good character): Nothing is heavier on the believer's scale than good character.
Meaning: Akhlaq outweighs other deeds; also among top reasons for Paradise.

Abu Dawood (character): A believer can reach the level of one who fasts and prays through good character.
Meaning: Good morals raise status.

Muslim (small kindness): Do not belittle any good deed, even smiling at your brother.
Meaning: Small acts are rewarded.


Hujurat 49:10: The believers are brothers, so reconcile between your brothers and fear Allah.
Meaning: Brotherhood survives conflict and means active Islah and helping each other.


Hujurat 49:11-12: No ridiculing, insulting or offensive nicknames; avoid suspicion, spying and backbiting (like eating a dead brother's flesh).
Meaning: Respect and dignity in relationships; repent or be a wrongdoer.


Bukhari 5144, Muslim 2563: Beware suspicion, the falsest speech; do not seek faults, spy, compete, envy, hate; be brothers.
Meaning: Practical rules for brotherhood.

Hujurat 49:13: Created from male and female, peoples and tribes to know each other; the most noble is the most righteous.
Meaning: Taqwa, not race or lineage, decides honour.

Bukhari, Muslim (brother of Muslim): A Muslim neither wrongs nor hands over his brother; whoever meets his need, relieves or covers him, Allah does the same.
Meaning: Duties of Muslim brotherhood.

Bukhari (Quba): Quba people fought with stones; the Prophet said 'let us reconcile them'.
Meaning: Making peace is a Prophetic act.

Muslim (supplication): A Muslim's dua for his brother in his absence is answered; the angel says 'Ameen, for you too'.
Meaning: Pray for others unseen.

Tirmidhi 2422 (Ibn Mas'ud): A person is asked about life, youth, wealth (how earned and spent), and acting on knowledge.
Meaning: Earning and spending are accountable.


Ta-Ha 20:81: Eat the good things provided, do not transgress, or My wrath descends.
Meaning: Halal needs lawful sourcing and purity; no excess.


Baqarah 2:188: Do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or bribe officials to take part of it.
Meaning: Bans usurping, gambling, bribery, riba, false cases and witnesses.


Bukhari, Muslim (Umm Salamah): I judge by what I hear; whoever I wrongly award a right of a Muslim gets a portion of Fire.
Meaning: A judge's ruling does not make a wrong claim lawful.


Bukhari 52, Muslim 1599 (Nu'man bin Bashir): Halal is clear, haram is clear, doubtful between; avoiders protect religion; the heart rules the body.
Meaning: Avoid doubtful trade practices; guard the heart.


Buruj 85:21-22: It is a glorious Quran, in a Preserved Tablet.
Meaning: First stage of revelation: Lawh al-Mahfuz.


Dukhan 44:3 and Qadr 97:1: Revealed on a blessed night; sent down in the Night of Decree.
Meaning: Second stage: to Bayt al-'Izzah.


Isra 17:106: A Quran divided into parts, recited to people at intervals, revealed gradually.
Meaning: Third stage: gradual revelation to the Prophet over 23 years.


Baqarah 2:281: Fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah.
Meaning: The last verse revealed, after the debt verse.


Naba 78:6-7: Did We not make the earth a resting place and the mountains as stakes?
Meaning: Quran and Science: mountains as stakes.


Qiyamah 75:3-4: We are able to put together even the tips of his fingers.
Meaning: Quran and Science: fingerprints.

Anbiya 21:33: He created night, day, sun and moon, each swimming in its rounded course.
Meaning: Quran and Science: celestial bodies in orbit.

Dhariyat 51:47: We built the heaven with power and We are expanding it.
Meaning: Quran and Science: expanding universe.

Rahman 55:19-20: He let the two seas meet; between them is a barrier they do not transgress.
Meaning: Quran and Science: barrier between salt and sweet water.

Baqarah 2:143: We made you a just (best) nation.
Meaning: Middle path between exaggeration and negligence.
