Force
A force is a push or pull acting upon an object due to its interaction with another object.
Contact Forces
Forces that occur when two objects are physically touching each other.
Frictional Force
Opposes the motion of an object.
Tensile Force
Stretches materials, like ropes or wires.
Normal Force
The support force exerted upon an object in contact with another stable object.
Applied Force
A force that is applied to an object by a person or another object.
Non-Contact Forces
Forces that act at a distance, without the objects being in physical contact.
Gravitational Force
Attracts two masses toward each other.
Electromagnetic Force
Acts between charged particles.
Nuclear Force
Acts within an atomic nucleus and is responsible for holding protons and neutrons together.
