Clavicle
A long, slender bone that connects the upper limb to the trunk of the body and provides attachments for muscles and ligaments.
Sternoclavicular (SC) joint
The joint formed by the articulation of the widened sternal end of the clavicle with the manubrium of the sternum.
Acromioclavicular (AC) joint
The joint formed by the articulation of the flattened acromial end of the clavicle with the acromion process of the scapula.
Anteriorly convex
The medial two thirds of the clavicle are curved outward towards the front of the body.
Anteriorly concave
The lateral one third of the clavicle is flattened and curved inward towards the front of the body.
