What is the method that we use for making compounds?

Safely set up the bunsen Burner, record the appearance of each of the metals before heating, Place a piece of magnesium into the blue flame and heat. Once the magnesium begins to burn with a bright-white light, look away. Record the appearance of the magnesium after heating and repeat with the other metals
