Touchpad

Tethering
Connecting another device to a mobile device to share its cellular data connection.
SIM Card
A small card used to identify the mobile device on the mobile network and access mobile functions.
Airplane Mode
A setting that disables some or all wireless features on a mobile device.

Port Replicator
A device connected to a laptop that provides additional ports for external devices.
NFC (Near-Field Communication)
A technology that allows short-range data transmission, commonly used for contactless payments.
eSIM
An embedded SIM card that functions the same as a physical SIM card but is built into the device.
Bluetooth
A wireless technology used to create a short-range personal area network for connecting devices.

Docking Station
An advanced port replicator that allows additional functionalities, such as connecting external displays. Often Proprietary.
Battery Calibration
The process of syncing the battery level indicator with the actual charge status of the battery.
Media Files Synchronization
The process of syncing media files such as photos between devices and cloud services.
Mobile Hotspot
A feature that allows a mobile device to act as a wireless access point for other devices.
Digitizer
A device that converts analog signals, such as handwritten notes or drawings, into digital data that can be processed by a computer.
Calibration
The adjustment of a device or application to improve accuracy and functionality, particularly for input devices.
Firmware Update
A software update that provides new features or fixes issues for the mobile device’s operating system.
IR (Infrared)
A wireless communication technology that uses infrared light to transmit data over short distances, commonly used for remote controls and data transfer between devices.
