Cytoplasm
Gel-like material that surrounds all organelles.
Nucleus
Controls all the activities of the cells.
Vacuole
Storage for food, waste, and water.
Cell membrane
Barrier that surrounds the cell.
Ribosomes
Small organelles that make protein
Mitochondria
Site of cellular respiration. Makes energy from food.
Chloroplast
Site of photosynthesis. Makes food from sunlight.
Cell wall
Surrounds the plant cell, made of cellulose Golgi bodies.
Golgi bodies
Will modify, sort, and package materials for delivery.
Endoplasmic Reticulum
Transports molecules from the nucleus to the outer part inside the cell. Rough= has ribosomes. Smooth=has no ribosomes
Nucleus membrane
Surrounds and protects the nucleus.
Lysosome
Recycling center of the cell: recycles worn out cell parts.
Nucleolus
Inside the nucleus, where ribosomes can be produced.
Chromosomes
Contains genetic material.
