vacuole
Moves materials around the cell, storage for cell, membrane sac

Lysome
Digests food, clean up and recycle, digest broken organelles

Ribosomes
Makes proteins, builds proteins from DNA

Golgi apparatus
Modifies, sorts, and packages proteins. Ships proteins in vesicles

Cytoplasm
Jelly like material holding organelles in place. (Mostly made of water)

Nucleus
Control center of the cell. Protects and stores DNA or genetic information

Nucleolus
Produces the ribosomes/ stores DNA

Nuclear membrane
Protects the nucleus

Cell membrane
Cell boundary, controls movement of materials in and out of the cell. (Proteins), recognizes symbols

Mitochondria
Makes ATP energy from cellular respiration. “Powerhouse”

Smooth ER
Transports ribosomes. Produces lipids and carbohydrates. (The one that has the ribosomes all over it in the picture)

Rough ER
Makes/modifies proteins

Centricoles
Replicates, reproduces. Cell division

Microtubules
Gives the cell its structure

Cell wall
provides protection and support to stricter

Desmosome
Hold cells together, strengthen tissues, and prevent cells from falling apart

Collagen fibers
main role is to provide structure, strength and support throughout your body.Helping fibroblasts form in your dermis(middle skin layer), which helps new cells grow.

Fibroblasts
Produce extracellular matrix and collagen

Peroxisome
Organelles that can accumulate and degrade peroxides

Microvilli
Tiny finger like structure. Increases the cells surface area, allowing it to absorb more substances efficiently

Secretion vesicle
Small sacs in a cell that store and transport substances to be released. Carry substances such as hormones, enzymes, and mucus

Micropilcae
Tiny folds/ridges on the surface of an animal cell. Help increase the surface area of a cell.

Cytoskeleton
Subdivided into 3 categories(microtubules, actin filaments, and intermediate filaments) contributes to movement inside cell
