solubility
The maximum amount of solute that can dissolve in a specific amount of solvent at a certain temperature.
solubility product:
the equilibrium constant for a dissolving ionic solid (Ksp)
unsaturated:
Less than the maximum amount of solute has been dissolved in the solution.
saturated
the maximum amount of solute has been dissolved
precipitation
the formation of a solid from a solution
common ion effect:
A change in solubility of an ionic compound caused by adding a different compound with a shared ion. ( like KF and NaF)
coordinate bond
A covalent bond where both electrons in the shared pair come from the same atom
Lewis acid:
A substance that accepts a lone pair of electrons to become a coordinate bond
Lewis Base
a substance that donates a lone pair of electrons to form a coordinate bond
acid-base adduct:
A compound containing a coordinate bond formed between a Lewis acid and a Lewis base.
