System
A group of parts that work together to perform a specific function, where each part has its own job.
Living System
A living organism made up of connected parts that depend on one another and contribute to the survival of the whole organism.

Plant System
A living system composed of different parts (roots, stem, leaves, flowers, and fruits) that work together to support the plant's life.
Roots
Plant parts that anchor the plant firmly to the ground and absorb water and minerals from the soil.
Stem
The structure that supports the plant and transports water from the roots to the leaves, as well as food from the leaves to other parts.
Leaves
Plant structures that make food using sunlight, water, and air, providing energy for plant growth and repair.
Digestive System
An animal body system that breaks down food into nutrients, providing the fuel needed for movement, growth, and tissue repair.

Respiratory System
An animal body system that takes in oxygen from the air to release energy from food and removes the waste gas carbon dioxide.
Circulatory System
An animal body system that acts as a transport network, carrying oxygen and nutrients to cells through the bloodstream and removing waste materials.

System Interdependence
The principle that parts of a living system cannot survive separately, meaning a failure in one system disrupts and affects the entire organism.
