If you have enough money, you can buy a pardon which forgave you. You could also pay for people to pray for you

Become a nun or munk

Devote your whole life to God and live by very strict rules

Why did Becket and Henry II argue

1. Becket was Henrys best friend

1. Four knights heard Henry II say “Will no one rid me of this up start priest” and took there chance
