Line the bottom of the sink with a towel/pillow case and fill halfway with water

verbalize residents name and room number is on the denture cup and lid.

verbalize that resident removed dentures from their mouth and places them in basin/denture cup

rinse the dentures in cool/warm water

apply denture cleaning agent to the brush

brush all parts of the dentures; palate and teeth of upper denture, teeth and well of lower denture.

rinse the dentures in cool/water water

place dentures in a cup with cool/warm water (with denture cleaning tablet)

place denture cup in top of drawer or bedside stand.

4. if resident is able to follow directions have them swish/spit with water/mouth wash
