Working memory model in psychology.
What is the working memory model?
Conceptualizing the process for which memories are encoded, stored, and lost.
What is the process for how information is remembered?
Sensory Registry(Sight, sound, touch, hearing) → Attention(if attention is provided) → Short-term memory (Information can only be held for a very brief period of time) → Rehearsal → Long - term storage (LTS)

What are the advantages of this theory?
Lab experiments support the idea that memory are separated into different processes.
What are the disadvantages of this theory?
Doesn’t take into account the fact that there are multiple types of long-term memory
Semantic → contains information about meaning, e.g., the capital of France is Paris.
Episodic → Personal memories, e.g., birthday parties
Procedural → information that pertains to how to act, such as riding a bike.
