Why do you want to join the ADF?
Responsibility, deeper purpose, challenge yourself, not settling, togetherness = powerful and motivating, born in this country, protecting Aus’ interests, proud, due diligence, willing to learn and I want the opportunity to develop my skills and make a contribution
Why the airforce?
Interested in how intelligence is involved in the airforce + (uni experience)
Identifying vessels, synergetic
(Navy)
Even say no preference (opportunity in every service)
Air, ground, a lot to work towards and things that I want to learn and be a part of
Why do you want to partake in an officer role?
I want to develop my leadership skills – and I think after working with and learning from more experienced officers, it would be rewarding to earn people’s trust and take responsibility for decisions.
Why intel? Or why intelligence officer?
I think I have developed a lot of research and analytical thinking from my uni studies. (workload) keen eye - detail oriented + locating potential threats in the air and maritime spaces appeals to me and my strengths.
I want the opportunity to develop and use my people and communication skills
What do you do as an intel officer?
I think an intel officer would have to consider and oversee information about objects, vessels – and assess the threat and intent of what’s been identified
I also think that an intel officer would have have to disseminate information clearly and make decisions about what’s most advantageous for the operation. involving air combat planning, flight path planning, operational goals)
And I guess after looking at and integrating all of that information, you would disseminate that clearly to commanders.
What are the airforce fitness requirements?
