Vertical Angles
Opposite angles formed by two intersecting lines that are congruent to each other.
Linear Pair
Two adjacent angles that form a straight line and whose sum is equal to 180∘.
Conditional Statement
An if-then logical statement expressed in the form p→q, where p is the hypothesis and q is the conclusion.
Converse
A logical statement formed by interchanging the hypothesis and conclusion of a conditional statement (q→p).
Inverse
A logical statement formed by negating both the hypothesis and conclusion of a conditional statement (∼p→∼q).
Contrapositive
A logical statement formed by both negating and swapping the hypothesis and conclusion of a conditional statement (∼q→∼p).
