Measurement
The process of comparison of the given physical quantity with the known standard quantity of the same nature.
Unit
The quantity of a constant magnitude which is used to measure the magnitudes of other quantities of the same nature.
Magnitude of a Physical Quantity
The total value expressed by the product of parameters: Physical quantity=(numerical value)×(unit).
Choice of Unit
The selection criteria for a universal unit, requiring it to be of convenient size, defined without ambiguity, reproducible, and unchanging with space and time.
