XML

SGML

Document Type Definition; an original, simpler method to validate an XML document's structure.

XSD

XML Schema Definition; a modern, powerful validation method that supports data types and namespaces.

DOM

Document Object Model; a parser that loads the entire document into memory as a tree, allowing read and write access.

SAX

Simple API for XML; an event-based parser that reads one element at a time, is memory efficient, and is read-only.

XPath

A technology used to find and locate specific elements or attributes within XML.

XSLT

A technology that transforms XML into HTML, text, or another XML format.

XQuery

A technology used to query and extract data from XML collections or databases.

Web Services

XML Declaration
