When removing a wool sweater, a static discharge of 5.43 µC dissipates 6.92e-3 J of energy. What voltage was involved? HMW 4 #1
this is EPE/q so divide 6.92e-3/5.43e-6

how to do this. HMW 4 #2
for the first find total energy with P=W/delta t then V=EPE/q to find q, then divide that total by the standard elementary charge for electrons

If an electron travels 0.150 m from an electron gun to a TV screen in 9.0 ns, what voltage (in V) was used to accelerate it? (Note that the voltage you obtain here is lower than actually used in TVs to avoid the necessity of relativistic corrections.) HMW 4 #3
do v=d/delta t then plug v into KE=1/2mv² (mass of electron) then do V=KE/q so 790

how to do this. HMW 4 #4
for the first find speed of light at that percent by doing v=.0820 x (3e8) where 3e8 is speed of light c then plug that v into KE=1/2mv². for the second divide KE by the elementary charge. for the third take what u got for KE and divide it by the elementary charge of a proton TIMES TWO cus there are two protons
