State the functional relationship between fsh and progesterone
And increase in progesterone levels inhibits the release of fsh
What happens after if no fertilization takes place in a female?
The corpus luteum degernerates and progesterone decreases fsh level rises LH level decreases
What is the fucntion of the acrosome of the sperm cell ?
It secretes lytic acid that digests the outer layer of the oocyte
Functions of placenta?
Nutrients transported via the umbilical cord, gaseous exchange, acts as a microfilter,
Functions of the umbilical cord?
Umbilical vein carriez oxygenated blood rich in nutrients from the placenta to the foetus and arteries Carries deoxygenated blood with nitrogenous waste from the foetus to the placenta
What are the functions of the amniotic fluid
Provides a watery medium for the foetus to move freely in. Protects the foetus from shock and dehydration as well as temperature changes

Low sperm count, high percentage of abnormal sperm cells
