Arm Bar Escape 2B - Shoulder Drop Variations
Variation 1: During Pendulum - Their shoulder comes down to the mat, your hands remain connected.
Scissor back leg over leg nearest to them to recover your base.
If you have a loose grip, reestablish a supported grip and weave hand in for the closed guard arm bar escape 1.
Variation 2: On Pendulum, either the Arms disconnect or they fall to the head side - Hitchhiker escape
Thumb toward the head side.
Come up on far side elbow.
Free hand pushes the feet down.
Walk feet around, step foot over to base
Arm Bar Escape 3 - Loose Grip Vs Uncrossed Feet
Spider Controlled - Their Feet are uncrossed and you have a loose arm configuration (S or Gable)
Your outside elbow slides under their ankle. If the foot is too tight, do a hip bridge up to create a bit of space.
Pull your knee back over their leg. Then, using your elbow to knee connection slide their leg over your shin.
Use your inside leg to come down on top of their leg to trap it.
Pendulum knees in as you pull your elbow to the mat.
Arm Bar Escape 5 - Loose Grip Vs Crossed Feet
Spider controlled with crossed feet over your loose grip (S or Gable)
To buy a second or two, pull back your knees and use your inside (threatened) hand to disconnect and switch to grab the inside of thigh at the knee pit. Clamp down your leg.
Outside hand pummels your hand under their knee on the head.
Hitchhiker and pull elbow to mat
Arm Bar Escape 6 - Scythe Arm Bar
Pendulum legs sideways to try to pop your head out from under the leg.
Immediately Hard push off with inside foot to rotate belly down into the far side hitchhiker
Arm Bar Escape 7 - Belly Down
Outside foot steps up.
Head comes over the tailbone
Drive into them to take the weight off, so you can turn your thumb toward your head
Circle around
*if you move early it works well
Kimura Escape 1 - Dolphin
Grab their top wrist with your free hand
Scissor your legs to rotate your hips against the direction of the attack to get all the way to your base.
They will drive and roll you back down. As they drive into you, roll with it and drive your attacked arm’s elbow into the mat
Continuing the motion, pendulum your legs around in a circle and free your hands as you come to your base on the other side.
Kimura Escape 2 - Side Control
Knee Insertion Escape
Shrimp into them and do an arm extension with the attacked arm to extend them away from you
Slide you shin inside of their arm, either under their elbow or behind it.
Break the grip
Push the head away for side control Triangle
Variation: If you can’t knee insert
Bridge hips up
Swim free arm to under their body
Walk feet around
Kimura escape 3 - Closed Guard Top
Early response
Heat post behind the shoulder.
Free arm far side wrist control

Late Response
Step over your hand, hand goes in the knee pit. Recover base
Free hand post on the far hip
Kimura Escape 4 - Half Guard Top
Late Option - kneel on their bicep and free your arm by extending from the shoulder, then crossface them
Early Option - Use free hand to grab their hand, pull up with a yo ho ho to counter kimura them
T Kimura Escape
Drive yourself on top of them
Feed your leg through
Guillotine (Arm In) - Inside Closed Guard
Head raise - left hand grab forehead smh. Look into the body. Tripod hips up.
Opposite hand feed into the gap between their arm and body.
Grab their belt line or thigh pants and pinch elbow back to take pressure off
Drop hips and pop head out
Guillotine Escapes - Standing or Early
Before they sit back just hand fight. Once they try to sit back, Hands on the hips
Left shoulder roll escape
Make sure to do a hard pendulum at the end and finish with your head fully rotated into them
Come all the way around to the far side side control
Arm in - tripod up, walk feet around, then roll through
Darce Choke Escape - North South Turtle
From Turtle
Thumb post.
Bring elbow down inside their elbow.
Elbow flare kipping out to extract their arm.
From the Roll
Defend the choke with thumb post into their wrist from same side as choking arm

Elbow comes inside their elbow and drives back in Kipling motion to break grip

Head & Arm Choke Escape
Assuming they are attacking your right arm side
Left hand Hold the Phone - If needed, use opposite hand to push their head away to slide your arm in.
Feet to the sky, then Pendulum legs away and reach over the shoulder with right hand to grab their lat.
Right hand insert the thumb post into the choking arm elbow and rotate back into them.
Recover arm by swimming it around their head
North South Choke Escape
Pendulum legs into the choke
Come up to your knees as you turn into them
Triangle Escape - Closed Guard
Escape 1
Sit back with clearance between your hips and theirs - try to sit away from them
Cross feet over their front
Hug the choking leg and pull back
Escape 2
Outside arm grabs top knee
Look in, then turn out and rotate out to break
Mounted Triangle Escape
Shrimp away from outside leg, then push into the knee
Get your bottom knee as a wedge inside their outside foot, your other foot comes over top and contains the leg
Extend their leg away
Option 2 is pendelum to a closed guard triangle roll to do basic escapes

Pendulum legs away
Insert knee wedge inside their knee line to break the triangle
Use your legs to drive their top leg away and extend it out
