Unit Operations (Enhetsoperasjoner)
Physical or chemical process steps in a process plant, including stirring, separation of solids from liquids and gases, heat exchange, crystallization, and distillation.
TFS (Technical Flowsheet)
A process diagram used to show the logical interconnection of unit operations, equipment, and product transport across a process plant.
Control Loop (Reguleringssløyfe)
An integrated system composed of a measuring instrument, transmitter, regulator, and final control element to regulate process conditions.
Final Control Element (Pådragsorgan)
Process equipment, such as valves and pumps, used in a control loop to directly affect and optimize process variables.
Process Deviation (Avvik i prosess)
A condition where process values deviate from normal operational parameters, identified using measurement, control, and regulation equipment.
Screen-based Control and Monitoring Systems
Computer interfaces used in practical process operation to monitor measurement results, operational values, and individual process steps.
Mass Balance (Massebalanse)
A calculation principle establishing that the sum of reactants in kg/h equals the sum of products in kg/h.
Energy Balance (Energibalanse)
Calculations that track energy inputs, transfers, and outputs across process equipment such as heat exchangers.
Faraday's Law (Faradays lov)
A law used in electrolysis calculations to determine the amount of substance deposited and the power consumption during the process.
Grade 1 (Strykkarakter)
An evaluation rating indicating that the candidate has very low competence in the subject, representing a failing grade.
Grade 5 and 6 (Høy grad av måloppnåelse)
Evaluation grades representing a high degree of achievement, characterized by full process understanding, accurate diagram drawing, and effective troubleshooting.
